Principal & reviewer

Tyson Koska.

A software builder, teacher and curious robot owner. Interested in what a machine can really do—and what it takes to get there.

Practical questions. Clear explanations.

I’ve spent more than twenty-five years building software, including content systems, workflow and operational redesign. More recently, I spent three years engineering AI for a federal agency.

I’ve also taught software engineering and generative AI as a Towson University adjunct, and taught the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer track as a certified trainer. Before that, I studied philosophy and flew for the U.S. Army.

That mix shapes how I want to review robots: question the claim, understand the mechanism, test the boundaries, and explain the result in language people can use.

Why this site exists

Robotics is moving quickly. An impressive clip can show a real achievement while leaving out the setup, human control or narrow conditions that made it possible.

The Robot Reviewer will help interested buyers, builders and educators see those details. The goal is an honest broker: a fair look at a manufacturer’s work, with enough evidence for readers to form their own view.
